An essential overview of satellite communications from the organization that sets the international standards

Since their introduction in the mid-1960s, satellite communications have grown from a futuristic experiment into an integral part of today’s “wired world.” Satellite communications are at the core of a global, automatically switched telephony network. Assembled by the International Telecommunication Union–the international organization that sets the standards for this rapidly growing industry–the Handbook on Satellite Communications, Third Edition brings together basic facts about satellite communications as related to the fixed-satellite service (FSS). It covers the main principles, technologies, and operation of equipment in a tutorial form.

Updated to include the latest technologies and information, the Third Edition provides both the standards and technical information needed to implement and interact with satellite communication systems, including:

* The components and basic characteristics of a satellite communication system

* Regulatory considerations and system planning

* SDH and ATM satellite transmissions

* Analog and digital baseband signal processing and multiplexing

* Carrier modulation techniques

* Geostationary and non-geostationary systems

* Interconnection of satellite and terrestrial networks

* LEOS satellite networks and other recent developments

As digital modulation and transmission replace analog techniques, and as satellites in non-geostationary and lower-altitude orbits open the way to new applications, satellite communications will continue to grow in use and importance. Everyone involved in the administration and operation of satellite communications will find this a crucial resource.

Electromagnetics
Publisher: McGraw-Hill Inc | ISBN: 0070353964 | edition 1973 | DJVU | 847 pages | 16,3 mb

This fourth edition of the classic electromagnetics text has been extensively revised to present balanced, thorough coverage of both static and dynamic electromagnetics for today’s courses in the subject. It explains both the basic theory and its application to practical designs and contains many computer programs for running on a personal computer. Many new topics are presented including heart dipole; superconductors; wave absorption, fiber optics and dielectric resonators.

David L. Terrell, “Op Amps: Design, Application, and Troubleshooting, 2 Ed”
Newnes | 1996 | ISBN: 0750697024 | 512 pages | PDF | 20 MB

OP Amps deliberately straddles that imaginary line between the technician and engineering worlds. Topics are carefully addressed on three levels: operational overview, numerical analysis, and design procedures. Troubleshooting techniques are presented that rely on the application of fundamental electronics principles. Systematic methods are shown that can be used to diagnose defects in many kinds of circuits that employ operational amplifiers.

One of the book’s greatest strengths is the easy-to-read conversational
writing style. The author speaks directly to the student in a manner that encourages learning. This book explains the technical details of operational amplifier circuits in clear and understandable language without sacrificing technical depth.

Easy-to-read conversational style communicates procedures an technical details in simple language.
Three levels of technical material: operational overview, manericall analysis, and design procedures.
Mathematics limited to algebraic manipulation.

B. P. Lathi,”Modern Digital and Analog Communication Systems” 3 edition
English | 800 pages ISBN: 0195110099 | File type: PDF | 10 mb

Product Description
Lathi’s trademark user-friendly and highly readable text presents a complete and modern treatment of communication systems. It begins by introducing students to the basics of communication systems without using probabilistic theory. Only after a solid knowledge basean understanding of how communication systems workhas been built are concepts requiring probability theory covered. This third edition has been thoroughly updated and revised to include expanded coverage of digital communications. New topics discussed include spread-spectrum systems, cellularcommunication systems , global positioning systems (GPS), and an entire chapter on emerging digital technologies (such as SONET, ISDN, BISDN, ATM, and video compression).
Ideal for the first communication systems course for electrical engineers, Modern Digital and Analog Communication Systems offers students a superb pedagogical style; it consistently does an excellent job of explaining difficult concepts clearly, using prose as well as mathematics. The author makes every effort to give intuitive insightsrather than just proofsas well as heuristic explanations of theoretical results wherever possible. Featuring lucid explanations, well-chosen examples clarifying abstract mathematical results, and excellent illustrations, this unique text is highly informative and easily accessible to students.

Since the publication of the second edition of Introduction to Radar Systems, there has been continual development of new radar capabilities and continual improvements to the technology and practice of radar. This growth has necessitated the addition and updating of the following topics for the third edition: digital technology, automatic detection and tracking, doppler technology, airborne radar, and target recognition. The topic coverage is one of the great strengths of the text. In addition to a thorough revision of topics, and deletion of obsolete material, the author has added end-of-chapter problems to enhance the teachability of this classic book in the classroom, as well as for self-study for practicing engineers. This third edition is much more readable than the second edition. A vast improvement in the breadth of topics, and also the depth of topics over the second edition. A good introduction to radars and how they work. For the die-hard technical person, however, the Radar Handbook (also by Skolnik) is still king. This book does not get into the detail of the Radar Handbook. However, someone just learning radar would find the extreme detail of the Radar Handbook too confusing. This book is a good starting place. Even if you own the second edition, you might want to upgrade to this one – the format and topics have improved that much

Charles Alexander ,Matthew Sadiku – Fundamentals of Electric Circuits with CD-ROM with Problem Solving Workbook
McGraw-Hill | 1999 | ISBN: 0071160426, 0072494441, 025625379X | Pages: 992 | File type: PDF | 44 mb
This first edition text is for use in the introductory circuit analysis or circuit theory course taught in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology departments. The main objective of this book is to present circuit analysis in a clear, easy-to-understand manner, with many practical applications to interest the student.
The authors present principles in an appealing and lucid step-by-step manner, carefully explaining each step. Important formulas are highlighted to help students sort out what is essential and what is not. Many pedagogical aids reinforce the concepts learned in the text so that students get comfortable with the various methods of analysis presented in the text.

http://hotfile.com/dl/65024960/2db8f45/Fundamentals_Of_Electric_Circuits.rar.html

This is a concise presentation of the concepts underlying the design of digital communication systems, without the detail that can overwhelm students. Many examples, from the basic to the cutting-edge, show how the theory is used in the design of modern systems and the relevance of this theory will motivate students. The theory is supported by practical algorithms so that the student can perform computations and simulations. Leading edge topics in coding and wireless communication make this an ideal text for students taking just one course on the subject. Fundamentals of Digital Communications has coverage of turbo and LDPC codes in sufficient detail and clarity to enable hands-on implementation and performance evaluation, as well as ‘just enough’ information theory to enable computation of performance benchmarks to compare them against. Other unique features include space-time communication and geometric insights into noncoherent communication and equalization.
